Winner of the Révélation Soliste Instrumental award at the 2020 Victoires de la Musique Classique, French oboist Gabriel Pidoux is one of the most in-demand oboists of his generation. Pidoux is celebrated for 'expertly crafted' performances and a 'honey-like tone' (Bachtrack). He returns to Hong Kong this French May Arts Festival to present Richard Strauss' sublime Oboe Concerto with Hong Kong Sinfonietta under the baton of Ariel Zuckermann, in a programme which also includes Dvořák's beloved Symphony no. 7.
