Mapping Hong Kong: through the daily ritual of walking, across coastal terrain on Hong Kong Island and New Territories, Caroline considers landscape as an escape rather than a view. On the edge of the Coast, on the boundary between earth and ocean, Caroline explores, seeking horizon lines beyond the buildings.
From horizontal, the scenery transforms in an aerial view landscape, a map of her steps along the coast.
Then interaction between the Hong Kong’s landscape is translated through the forms and textures provided by the ancient and local maps.
