Alliance Française de Hong Kong and the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau are very proud to present the very first edition of Make Music, Hong Kong!. The two-day music festival is co-funded by European Union Office to Hong Kong and Macau, with the participation of the Consulates General of Austria, Hungary, Switzerland, Goethe-Institut and Italian Cultural Institute.
With the support of our major sponsors Champagne G.H.MUMM, Lillet and sponsors Mécénat Musical Société Générale, Kawai, Parsons Music, Pro Helvetia, Swiss Art Council, Trimarchi and partners Le French May, Tai Kwun Centre for Heritage and Arts, Make Music, Hong Kong! aims to promote and encourage artistic exchanges between European countries and Hong Kong.
The first edition of this music festival will take place from June 23 to 24 at Tai Kwun Centre for Heritage and Arts. Artists will perform on 5 different stages and together they will bring a wide range of music performance from classic to jazz, pop and electro. More than 30 local bands and 6 international musicians and bands will be performing in 5 different stage areas during the 2-day festival. There will be 6 International bands coming from different European countries namely Austria, Germany, France, Hungary, Italy and Switzerland.
Inspired by the Fête de la Musique (World Music Day) which takes place around the world on June 21 to celebrate the summer solstice in the northern hemisphere, Make Music, Hong Kong! will present all music styles in a cheerful atmosphere. It is a free event opened to both professional and amateurs performers.
