To explore the significant French influences on Chinese arts since the 20th century, our associated project titled “Sino-French Cross-cultural Encounters in Fine art and Literature” proudly presents to you both an exhibition and a public seminar on French-inspired Chinese arts in forms ranging from literature, publication designs, to lifestyle.
Details of the two activities are as follows:
- 4 May – 2 June 2018: an exhibition on French-inspired Chinese magazines and literature; and
- 4 May 2018: a public seminar (in Cantonese) on Sino-French cultural interactions given by four scholars from the School of Arts and Social Sciences, The Open University of Hong Kong.
The activities are organized by the OUHK Tin Ka Ping Centre of Chinese Culture (TKPCCC) and co-organized by the Research Institute for Digital Culture and Humanities (RIDCH).
