Blue dry pigment is an iconic creative element in Yves Klein’s works. This material has become the artwork itself and the artwork itself is meant to be re-created so it has a life of its own. Every person can re-make the artwork, from Klein’s design and idea. Klein not only questioned the role of medium in his artworks, but also illustrated the shifts of function of artists when they were making art. To him the artist role is to capture the existing beauty, beyond being the authors of an artwork but unveiling it. Through re-creation of his design, Klein’s message is that everyone has the ability to reveal the existing beauty as well. This series of workshops enable participants to get in touch with the creative medium which has a powdery texture. It welcomes children aged from 4 to 12 to participate.
