A French themed keyboard concert, Reverie: Fantasia of France, highlights Hong Kong Baptist University keyboard students and faculty for exploration of French keyboard repertoire charting the centuries from the historical and traditional Baroque period to the distinctive Modern era on piano.

The Academy of Music

The Academy of Music, formally known as, The Department of Music, was founded in 1973, after the establishment of Hong Kong Baptist College in 1956. For over forty-five years, the Academy of Music has provided thousands of graduates with a practical, creative, and intellectual foundation for careers in music and music-related fields.

The Academy strives to meet the educational needs of a diverse student body through instruction, scholarship, performance, composing, and public service. It has worked steadily to expand the creative and professional growth of its faculty and contribute to cultural knowledge through specific research streams. These include cross-cultural research, research on performance practices, research on music education, and creative output.
