Karen Joubert Cordier has been active on the art scene since 1980. After her studies at the Academy Charpentier, she was counseled by a famous art dealer Daniel Cordier. She began to paint her signature gigantic imaginary forest. Her first show in Paris at the gallery Beaubourg was a great success; followed by the George Pompidou Museum. More recently her work evolved into a series of “La narrative figurative” involving more pop elements of comics. Recalling her childhood, she crossed the Atlantic on the different French liner for 49 times where she met legendary people. Each journey is a true source of inspiration. As Art critic Bernard Lamarche Vadel described her work: “pointillism, surrealism, all over, expressionism, all the principles of the great movements of the Twentieth Century pulled together.”
